Are You Seeing Water Issues In Your Basement or Crawlspace?
- Wet Carpet Or Flooring In Basement. Sometimes triggered after heavy rains or snows. Sometimes constant. Be alert and consider if you need waterproofing.
- Water Stains On Walls. Look for water stains on your walls or ceilings. These can indicate that water is seeping in through the roof, walls, or foundation.
- Heaving Basment Floor. Water will eventually warp our home’s walls and floors.
- Wet Soil In Crawlspace. Not good. But something that Liftech can help.
- Musty Smells From Crawlspace. If you notice a damp or musty smell in your home, it may be a sign that moisture is getting in and causing mold or mildew growth.
- Cracks in the foundation. Cracks in the foundation can allow water to seep in and cause damage to the structure of your home.
- Mold or Mildew Growth. If you see mold or mildew growing on your walls, ceilings, or floors, it could be a sign that moisture is getting in.
- Peeling paint or wallpaper: Water damage can cause paint or wallpaper to peel or bubble, so if you notice this happening, it may be a sign of a waterproofing issue.
- Flooding. If your basement or crawl space floods during heavy rain or snow, it’s a clear sign that you need to waterproof your home.

Basement or Crawlspace Waterproofing F.A.Q.
Frequently asked questions about waterproofing, the products Liftech uses, and more!
What makes your products better than the leading competitors?
Liftech uses specialty waterproofing products designed and manufactured in the US by Safebasements™. These products are superior in quality and efficacy to other products in the market. Our estimators can provide specific detail as to why our products will be better for your basement.
Why do you recommend waterproofing from the inside and not the outside?
It’s a matter of efficacy and side effects. When you install a system from the outside, you have to rip up any landscaping, and the soil you excavate will never be as compacted as prior. It is cheaper, less intrusive, and just as if not more effective to install systems from the inside.
Water is coming in through my basement/egress window, how do I stop this?
Proper grading is important. Make sure water from your roof, gutters, or a sump pump discharge is not running toward your windows. If you have window wells, check the depth. The grade should be at least 6 inches below the bottom of the window. Two inches of pea gravel should be on top of the grade to drain water. Also, window well covers will help to keep debris out of your wells.
Can you fix my waterproofing system if it was installed by another company?
If you are having problems with your system, we suggest contacting the company that originally installed it to see if they can fix it. You should check to see if the system is still under warranty. We would be happy to make a site visit to determine if the system needs to be replaced.
