Step 1
Clean & Cover
The work area is isolated. Plastic and clean drop cloths are used to cover any vents, flooring, furniture, etc.
Step 2
Remove Perimeter Concrete
Concrete is removed from the cove area where the foundation wall meets the floor.
Step 3
Soil Removal For Trench
Concrete is removed from the cove area where the foundation wall meets the floor.
Step 4
Install Multi-Flow Drain Tile
Concrete is removed from the cove area where the foundation wall meets the floor.
Step 5
Connect Drain To Sump Pump
On block walls; holes are drilled in each core and joint of the block at the base of the wall, below the floor line.
Step 6
Trench Is Filled
The trench is filled with pea rock to the floor bottom.
Step 7
Waterproof Edging Installed
SafeEdge™ waterproof gaurd is installed on top of the rock along with a moisture barrier.
Step 8
Concrete Is Restored
The concrete floor that was removed for the trench is restored.
Step 9
Clean Up & Test Effeciency
The debris is cleaned up. The area looks nice. A robust waterproofing system is installed & water issues are no longer a concern.

Are French Drain's actually French?
Nope. The term “French Drain” is not related to the country of France. It is believed to have been named after Henry Flagg French, an American farmer and lawyer who popularized the technique in the mid-1800s. Even though our internior drain systems are a type of “French” Drain, they are more specifically referred to as “Perimeter Drains.” Because they drain your home foundation’s perimeter, not France.
