Multi-flow Drain Tile
The SafeBasements Multi-flow Drain Tile is engineered to address the flow rate of typical drain systems. Maintaining a slow and steady flow of the drain water is critical to maintaining the soil stability alongside your foundation’s footer, the base that supports your foundation. The SafeBasements Multi-flow Drain Tile is installed level around the perimeter of the footer or wall. This creates several positive engineering effects. First and foremost it allows the Multi-flow Drain Tile to take on water in 5 slow and steady stages, in severe water table situations more stages can be added. This “staging” allows for a slow and steady flow rate that maintains the water table under your home well below the slab. Keeping the water table well below the slab and maintaining the footer soils maintains a strong footer and lessens potential slab cracking created by hydrostatic pressure.
Sump Pump Systems
Liftech offers a “good, better, best” tier of sump pump setups. Understanding the differences will be key to determining which is the best for a given customer and selling them more effectively. The majority of the PHCC Pro Series primary pumps are built to run continuously 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. They are strong and dependable, and when they are used intermittently in a sump application, it extends the life of the pump. Glentronics offers their PHCC Pro Series Line of Sump pumps with 1½ year, 3-year, and 5-year warranties when the pumps are used in intermittent applications.
SafeEdge™
The SafeEdge™ was engineered to take the incoming moisture at the cove joint, the area where the wall and floor meet, and divert it down under the slab into a drain tile system which is installed alongside the foundation’s footer, the base of the foundation. Its patented design with a rubber seal on the back presses against the wall to aid in preventing moisture and soil gasses from entering your home, helping to create healthy air in your home. SafeEdge™ is available in 2 height configurations to accommodate a finished basement or an unfinished basement. The SafeEdge comes in several parts to help accommodate most basement layouts.
It has three main goals:
- To create a semi-sealed waterproofing system
- To make a structurally stable connection between the footer and the wall
- To provide optimal drainage of water into the sump system
Vapor Barrier (Crawl Space Encapsulation)
Crawl space encapsulation is a waterproofing procedure that entails covering the floor and walls with sheets of thick, tear-resistant polyethylene plastic that effectively cover the crawl space’s interior, essentially sealing it. This has numerous advantages for a house including improving the health and safety of the structure. Many of the notions and techniques of waterproofing and encapsulation are similar. However, there are a few major variances. Encapsulation is a term that pertains to the installation of items that enclose your crawl space, thus creating a kind of inner bubble. Our vapor barrier prevents radon gases from entering the crawl space, due to its sealed design. This product is designed to enhance water drainage beneath the floor liner, and due to its 100% polypropylene construction, will not break down or rot, unlike conventional fabrics.
